Module 1: Empower Business Users with Composer
Overview
In this first module we will connect multiple cloud systems with clicks, not code using MuleSoft’s Composer. We will see how Composer empowers business users to connect data across systems and create new digital experiences.
Meet Audrey
Audrey is a Patient Services Specialist at Makana Health. She keeps track of a lot of information as she helps patients with appointment scheduling, getting up to date clinic information, or initiating eligibility verification. When a new patient wants to enroll with Makana Health, Audrey currently needs to manually review their data in a spreadsheet and create a new patient record in Salesforce and their legacy EMR, Open Hospital. Audrey wants to create an automation that reads the patient information and creates the new records automatically, but without a technical background, she’s not sure where to start…
Meet Steven
Steven is an IT Lead at Makana Health. He recently helped evaluate Mulesoft Composer for Makana Health’s Salesforce Health Cloud. He was impressed by the ability to quickly create powerful integrations between Health Cloud and other SaaS systems with no code. Steven hears about the problem Audrey is looking to solve, and creates a user for her in their Mulesoft Composer application, which is installed in their Salesforce Health Cloud instance.
MuleSoft Composer makes it easy to build process automation for data, using clicks instead of code. When you create a secure process to connect the information stored in different systems, you build a real-time, integrated view of your customers and your business.

The first module of the workshop will focus on how to create a MuleSoft Composer flow.
